WILL G-INK COMPATIBLE PRODUCTS INVALIDATE MY PRINTER GUARANTEE?

Printer manufacturers normally sell printers at or below cost and make their profits from selling the cartridges as formerly, once you bought your new printer you had no choice but to buy one of their cartridges as they monopolise the supply of the cartridges.

Being perfect substitutes to the cartridges supplied by the printer manufacturers, compatible or remanufactured cartridges break the said monopoly and cut into the main source of profits of the printer manufacturers. Naturally, they are tempted to threaten to VOID YOUR WARRANTY due to the usage of compatible or remanufactured cartridges in order to protect their interest. However, it is ILLEGAL for them to VOID YOUR WARRANTY simply for using compatible or remanufactured cartridges. Keep in mind that the ink does not touch any part of the printer. The ink is applied to the paper through the cartridge (not the printer) while the paper is fed through the printer.

G-ink has a very comprehensive 100% guarantee.

THE G-INK COMPATIBLE CARTRIDGE DOES NOT LOOK THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL BRANDED CARTRIDGE?

You may notice the compatible cartridge varies in its design when compared to the original branded product. The G-ink compatible cartridge is different to avoid the intellectual property rights owned by the original equipment manufacturer. These changes will NOT affect the quality of the printout.

No. Although it may appear a different shape the G-ink compatible cartridges have been rigorously tested by quality control to ensure no printer damage will occur.

WILL A G-INK COMPATIBLE CARTRIDGE PRINT THE SAME AMOUNT AS AN ORIGINAL BRANDED CARTRIDGE?

The compatible cartridge will print at least the same amount, and in some cases more than the original branded product. On most new printer models the software in the printer dictates how much a cartridge can print. The compatible cartridges are designed to print the correct quantities where the printer dictates.

WILL I GET THE SAME QUALITY FROM A G-INK COMPATIBLE CARTRIDGE?

All G-ink compatible cartridges are manufactured by the world's leading compatible inkjet cartridge manufacturer under the strictest ISO90001 standards [link to standards]. We know you will be extremely pleased by the results.

In the rare case where an ink cartridge does not perform up to your expectation, it could be due to the dirty print head. Perform a cleaning cycle using your printer software. Refer to your printer manual for cleaning cycle instructions.

If the printout is imperfect after performing a cleaning cycle please follow the steps below.

1. Take the cartridge out of the printer.
2. Fold a pad of paper tissue and moisten with warm water.
3. Place the paper tissue on a work surface and wipe the print-head exerting slight pressure.
4. Replace the cartridges into the printer and print again.

If the printout is still unsatisfactory repeat steps 1-4.

Caution: Take care not to touch or damage the copper contacts whilst performing steps 1-4.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE PRINTOUT IS BLURRY OR SMEARED?

  1. Make sure your paper isn't damp or curled, or loaded face down (the printable side should be face up).
  2. Replace the OPC.
  3. Load a new sheet of plain paper and press the paper button to eject it. Do this several times. If you still have a problem, ink may have leaked inside the printer, and you need to clean it.
  4. Align the print head.
  5. Remove each sheet from the output tray as it is printed.
  6. Avoid handling printouts on glossy paper for a few hours to allow the ink to set.
  7. If ink smears on the back of a printout, clean the inside of the printer.
  8. If you are using double-sided paper and printing heavily saturated or dark images on the front side of the paper, you may notice that smudges or marks appear on the front when you print the second side. If one side of the paper will contain a lighter image or text, print that side first to eliminate marks or smudging.
